The Philadelphia Eagles struck first in their Thursday night preseason game against the Cleveland Browns, taking advantage of a lucky turnover for an early score.
Philadelphia punted on 4th-and-6 from the Cleveland 45-yard line, but Jerious Norwood fumbled the ensuing return to give the Eagles the ball in the red zone. After an incomplete pass by Michael Vick, newly acquired running back Ronnie Brown blasted his way into the endzone for a 13-yard touchdown that put the Eagles ahead, 7-0.
That's all there is to glow about for Philadelphia though, as Vick once again looks shaky in the preseason. The 31-year-old fumbled two times in the opening quarter, while completing just three of his seven passing attempts.
Nonetheless, the Browns have yet to get anything going thus far. A 33-yard field goal attempt by Phil Dawson was blocked in Cleveland's only scoring opportunity.
