Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles parlayed a strong second quarter into a dominating 24-0 lead over the Cleveland Browns as the teams square off heading into the fourth quarter of their Thursday preseason game.
Alex Henery capped a six-play, 22-yard drive with a 33-yard field goal to kick off the second quarter for Philadelphia. Nine minutes later Michael Vick rushed in for an eight-yard score to widen the Eagle lead.
That would be it for Vick, as Vince Young took the reins to offense after halftime. The newly-signed back-up entered the game and quickly gave his best Vick-impersonation, scrambling into the endzone from the 10-yard line after Browns' cornerback James Dockery muffed the Philly punt deep in the Cleveland red zone.
For all intensive purposes, Cleveland has struggled mightily through three quarters. Colt McCoy ended the game with a half-hearted statline, going 9-for-18 for 89 yards and an interception. Seneca Wallace has replaced him but similarly failed, as the Browns labored to gain positive yardage throughout the period.
