Tony Romo looks to continue his return from a season-ending injury against the Vikings, while Donovan McNabb gets his first home start in Minnesota.
The Dallas Cowboys make the trip to the Land of 10,000 Lakes to take on the Minnesota Vikings in a Week 3 NFL preseason clash on Saturday at Mall of America Field. The Cowboys will be looking for Tony Romo to continue working his way back into the Dallas offense after injuries prematurely ended his 2010 campaign. Romo was decent in the Cowboys' Week 2 preseason loss to the Chargers, throwing for 58 yards with a touchdown and an interception. New defensive coordinator Rob Ryan gets a chance to shut down a premier running back in Minnesota's Adrian Peterson.
The Vikings have significantly more uncertainty under center, despite Donovan McNabb's fine preseason, and have yet to score an offensive touchdown in the first three quarters of a preseason game. The home game will be McNabb's first start in front of a Minnesota crowd as a Viking, though he may be removed for young guns Christian Ponder and Joe Webb early on.
