Maurkice Pouncey didn't last long on Saturday night, limping off the field in the first quarter as the Pittsburgh Steelers battled the Atlanta Falcons. Pouncey went to the ground after apparently injuring his ankle, staying down for a few moments before hobbling off the field. It appeared he was rolled up on by one of his own teammates during the play.
According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the injury did not appear to be serious, though there's been no official word on what ails the Steelers' lineman.
Steelers' scare with Maurkice Pouncey limping off with ankle injury. Probably not serious but he lingered on ground for a few seconds.
Trainers were seen attending to Pouncey on the sideline after he removed his left shoe. His return is questionable, and it's unlikely the Steelers try to push him back into action on Saturday. This is, after all, the preseason.
