Stay connected with SB Nation

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Falcons are battling back-and-forth at Heinz Field, trading scores throughout the first two quarters. Pittsburgh drew first blood on a one-yard Rashard Mendenhall touchdown run in the first before adding a field goal to push the score to 10-0. But Atlanta had an answer, scoring twice to level the score midway through the second quarter.

A Matt Bryant field goal in the first was followed by a 10-yard touchdown pass from Matt Ryan to Roddy White as the Falcons clawed right back to tie it up. Ryan has thrown 25 passes in the first half, connecting on 14 for 140 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

Ben Roethlisberger answered for the Steelers, finding Antonio Brown for 77 yards and the touchdown to reclaim the lead. Brown showed off his speed, outrunning the defense for the huge play. For the night, Brown already has three catches for 93 yards and a score.

With just under six minutes to go in the second quarter, the Steelers lead the Falcons, 17-10.
