Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints are a juggernaut--at least against the Oakland Raiders on this Sunday evening. The Saints have scored on their first three drives of the game and lead midway through the second quarter, 17-7.
After the Oakland Raiders punted the ball early in the second quarter, Brees took control of the offense at his own 22-yard line. He spread the ball around to his receivers, but came up with several sharp plays with tight end Jimmy Graham, including a 19-yard reception that put them in the red zone. On a 2nd-and-10 at the Raiders' 15-yard line, Brees had his best chance with a pass to Marques Colston, but Stanford Routt was all over the receiver and broke the pass up.
The Saints settled for a Garrett Hartley 33-yard field goal. They now lead the Raiders, 17-7, in the second quarter.
