The night after Michael Vick signed a mammoth six-year, $100 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, the congratulations began rolling in from a workforce that remembers what it's like to get things such as "compensation."
Some cross-sport love going on tonight. Almost 30 NBA players have tweeted congrats to @MikeVick for his new contract.
Quick math: provided Vick is able to claim the full $100 million of his contract, it would be enough to pay every player who appeared in an NBA game last season (that's 452 players) about $221,000 before taxes. And if the lockout were to last six years -- the length of Vick's contract -- he'd still be able to pay them a salary of $37,873 a year for that span.
