Now there are just two 2011 NFL draft picks remaining unsigned. Aaron Wilson of FOX Sports reports that the New England Patriots have agreed to terms with first round pick OT Nate Solder, who may have signed in enough time to get to Patriots practice on Thursday.
Solder, 6'8" and 319 pounds, comes to the Patriots from the Colorado Buffaloes. He was the second offensive tackle taken in the draft behind No. 9 Tyron Smith.
"I think it's a good thing, it drives all of us -- that's why we're out here, we're out here to compete, compete against each other, compete against the opponent. Drafting a guy to come and fill in for these old bones -- it was inevitable, so hopefully we'll have some fun teaching him a thing or two out here."
Solder's signing means there are now just two unsigned draft picks.
