Olin Kreutz Joins New Orleans Saints Offensive Line, According To Report

Former Bears C Olin Kreutz will join the Saints offensive line, according to a report.

C Olin Kreutz has started for 12 consecutive years and hasn't missed a game in eight years. That streak will continue but it won't be in Chicago. According to ESPN's John Clayton, Kreutz reached an agreement with the New Orleans Saints

Per the report, it's a one-year deal worth between $2-3 million.

It will certainly be strange to see Kreutz in a different uniform in 2011 but he'll be forming an excellent interior offensive line between Carl Nicks and Jahri Evans in New Orleans.

A few Chicago Bears players have made it known that they're not happy about Kreutz leaving considering he was such a staple of the team. That's generally a good sign for the team that's just signed him so the Saints shouldn't be complaining.

I like that it's a one-year deal, particularly at his age, 34. He'll be inserted into the starting line-up pretty quickly and, if past history means anything, he won't be giving that spot up.
