The San Diego Chargers are keeping one of their own in this 2011 NFL free agency period. According to multiple reports, the Chargers re-signed WR Malcom Floyd to a two-year deal. No word on the financial terms yet but the Chargers have confirmed the deal.
Floyd tested the market this week and re-signing with the Chargers is a bit of a surprise considering this report from the Baltimore Sun on Thursday night:
Something apparently happened in the last 24 hours to change his mind. I'd be interested to see the details of the contract compared to what the Ravens were reportedly offering.
Floyd's return to the Chargers is a good thing for QB Philip Rivers as he'll continue putting up monster numbers. Considering the Chargers receiver situation last year, they'll need all the bodies they can get.
