Lions RB Mikel Leshoure, a second round pick last April, was carted off the field with a leg injury.
The Detroit Lions have been having a rough go at it lately in training camp. First round pick DT NIck Fairley has been out with a foot injury and WR Titus Young just returned after a week-long absence.
RB Mikel Leshoure is being carted off the practice field after sustaining what appears to be a serious left leg injury. Leshoure could not put weight on the leg as trainers helped him to the cart.
Ideally it's a minor injury and nothing is seriously wrong with him but multiple on-site accounts have noted the injury. It appears to be a lower left leg injury, according to reports.
Leshoure was the Lions second round pick so if it weren't for Young's return they'd have their top three picks all out due to injury. Detroit was praised by more than a few people for a solid 2011 NFL draft class but injuries aren't allowing them to capitalize on that.
