Ravens Confirm Ricky Williams Signed To Multi-Year Deal

Free agent RB Ricky Williams has elected to join the Baltimore Ravens, the team has confirmed.

Free agent RB Ricky Williams has found the third team in his career he'll play for -- the Baltimore Ravens. Multiple reports say Williams decided on joining the Ravens after leaving the Miami Dolphins in free agency. He can earn up to $4 million on the two-year deal.

Everyone knows Ricky's story. He was picked fifth overall by the New Orleans Saints in the 1999 NFL draft. He stayed in New Orleans for three seasons before moving onto the Dolphins in 2002 and putting in an All-Pro season with 1,853 rushing yards. He lead the league in rushing in both 2002 and 2003.

From there things went...down hill. He didn't play in any games in 2004 and 2006, and played in just 13 total games from 2004-07.

The Ravens lost veteran RB Willie McGahee in free agency this year so Williams likely fills that role as a complement to RB Ray Rice. He's had a strange career but Williams is a solid signing in this situation for the Ravens.
