Both Colt McCoy and Jay Cutler could use a couple of productive series to gain some momentum going into the regular season
Week 4 of the NFL Preseason is usually much more about position battles than any kind of meaningful time for starters. However, the Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns have both been subject to some hiccups, both at the end of last season and during this preseason. Avoiding injuries in the build-up to the first game of the season is key, but both teams might want to give more than just one series to QBs Jay Cutler and Colt McCoy, as well as running backs Peyton Hillis and Matt Forte.
Cutler and McCoy both look like roller coasters at this point, while Hillis and Forte will both be key to their teams this season. It couldn't hurt for any of these four guys to get a few extra snaps, provided they avoid injury. Otherwise, it's all about the position battles on Thursday night, with final roster cuts coming up shortly.
