Christian Ponder will be in the spotlight on Thursday night, while questions linger over the health of Arian Foster
Fans of the Minnesota Vikings will probably be interested to see quarterback Donovan McNabb get another series or two before the season starts, but the real star of the show on Thursday night should be Christian Ponder. The rookie quarterback has been decent, though unspectacular in the preseason so far, and fans will be eager to see what he can do in extended minutes against the Houston Texans.
For the Texans, the story is undoubtedly running back Arian Foster. Though Mr. Foster is dissatisfied with the fact that the majority of America seems to care more about the fantasy football implications of his injury than how he feels, it's relevant that a good player is injured, regardless of what about that injury is most important. Foster is listed as questionable for Thursday's game, but it would be a shock to see him out on the field. Both Foster and the team have not given a definitive yes or no answer on whether or not he will start in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts.
