While the fourth week of the NFL's preseason usually mean anyone who's projected to make a serious contribution to the team is on the bench, two big additions to the New England Patriots are starting against the New York Giants — Albert Haynesworth and Shaun Ellis.
Haynesworth has been absent for the vast majority of training camp — 20 days, at last count — but returned last week after pleading no contest to simple assault stemming from an incident with a D.C. cocktail waitress.
In his first play from scrimmage, he pressured David Carr, but Bill Belichick is likely all too aware of his conditioning issues, because this happened:
Haynesworth out for Love after one play. Pacing him.
Keep on truckin', big fella.
