Bills head coach Chan Gailey will get a chance at revenge against the team that fired him prior the 2009 season.
Chan Gailey was probably not very happy to be fired as the Chiefs offensive coordinator when head coach Todd Haley decided to take over that role himself prior to the 2009 season. Now Gailey is the head coach of the Buffalo Bills and has his first chance to get a measure of revenge.
The Chiefs will enter as the prohibitive favorite, not just because this game is at home, but because the Bills just aren't expected to be very good. The Bills are a very young team, with 19 players on their 53-man roster being in their first or second years.
Matt Cassel will be looking to build on his breakout season of a year ago, in which he passed for more than 3,100 yards and tossed 27 touchdowns. He'll be facing a Bills defense that allowed 362 yards per game.
