Poor, poor Indianapolis Colts. With Peyton Manning out, everything that could possibly go wrong has gone wrong in the first quarter. The Houston Texans lead by a score of 17-0, thanks to touchdown runs by Arian Foster fill-ins Ben Tate and Derrick Ward, as well as a field goal.
Those two touchdowns were set up by turnovers, with Kerry Collins partially at fault for both. However, both of those turnovers - both fumbles - probably had more to do with failings of the offensive line than anything Collins did wrong. Honestly, with the way the Colts line is playing right now, it would be hard to see Peyton Manning putting in a great performance either.
