With Arian Foster sitting with a balky hamstring, Ben Tate burst onto the scene to prove that -- for at least one week -- he, too, can be a fantasy stud for the Texans. He ripped through the Colts' defense for 116 yards and a touchdown, guaranteeing that he'll be one of the most talked about players when fantasy owners huddle around the proverbial water cooler Monday morning.
Now that he's basically a household name, maybe the guy can get some better endorsements. Because his current ones, well, they're a little suspect. Witness the video below in which he hawks Sheex, "the world's first luxury performance fabric bed sheets."
Wait, what's a "luxury performance" bed sheet? Glad you asked. Here I thought that all bed sheets were basically the same, but according to their website, but Sheex claims "a proven advantage over cotton in enabling and maintaining optimum thermal conditions for sleep. Better sleep leads to better performance."
If staying cool while he naps is what helped him rack up 100 yards in his NFL coming out party, more power to him. I can't help but think that, like those silly Power Balance Bracelets so many athletes wear, it's all in his head. But hey, whatever works.
