Armed with just one timeout and 60 seconds left on the clock, Tony Romo had a chance to take the Cowboys down the field for one final scoring drive. However, that was not to be. Romo's pass to Dez Bryant was picked off by Darrelle Revis and returned for 20 yards, putting the Jets in Cowboys territory. Revis made up for the earlier burns Bryant gave him in the first quarter.
Mark Sanchez was unable to put the ball in the end zone, but he did get Nick Folk in range to king the go-ahead field goal. Folk made the 50-yard field goal, giving the Jets their first lead of the game, 27-24. On the Cowboys' final play, the receivers attempted the hook and ladder, but wound up dropping the ball, allowing the Jets to cover it up and end the game.
According to NBC's graphic as time wound down, this was the first loss in 243 games that had the Cowboys leading by 14 or more points in the fourth quarter.
