We didn't know it, but Wes Welker is a track star. On Monday night, as the Miami Dolphins tried to reel the New England Patriots back in during the fourth quarter, Tom Brady found Wes Welker on the sideline and watched his receiver do the rest. When it was all over, Welker was in the end zone, traveling 99-1/2 yards on the play and tying an NFL record -- since, you know, it's impossible to record a longer touchdown.
After the jump, video of Welker turning on the after burners.
Watch Welker closely and notice at the sneaky strength.
WELKAH! BEST PLAYAH EVAH!
I'm not positive, but I think Jon Gruden may have wet himself during Welker's catch and run. It sounds like the moment came sometime around when Welker threw a stiff arm to spring himself. This guy loves stiff arms.
