It's been a record-breaking set of Monday Night Football games to open the season, thanks to two prolific passing performances in one matchup and a strong-legged kicker in the other. Just before the half of Monday night's matchup between the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders, Sebastian Janikowski trotted out for a 63-yard field goal attempt. Because of course he did. This is the same man who's been sent out for 70-plus-yard attempts. It's his thing.
Except this time around, Janikowski's kick was true, and perhaps had a bit more room to spare. It says something when his kick is the best highlight of the half, but hey: welcome to Broncos and Raiders football.

To be fair, this is Denver, and two of the three 63-yard field goals in NFL history took place in Denver. Thin air makes the ball travel farther, and it was only a matter of time before Janikowski unleashed a booming kick. It doesn't make it any less impressive, either.
