The Buffalo Bills will try to continue their stampede through the AFC West this week with a home game against the Oakland Raiders. Running back Darren McFadden and the Raiders' defense plan on giving the Bills more trouble than the Chiefs could muster last week.
Some scratched their heads when Bills head coach Chan Gailey expressed confidence in quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick prior to the quarterback-rich 2011 NFL Draft. Fitzpatrick did nothing to undercut his coach's assertions as he threw for 4 touchdown passes in a blowout win over the favored Chiefs last week.
Oakland will be counting on Darren McFadden to continue his prodigious rise, following his first 1,000-yard season with a 150-yard outing last week against the Broncos. McFadden's speed and Sebastian Jankiowski's record-breaking leg gave the Raiders their first win under rookie head coach Hue Jackson.
The Raiders lead the series between these two teams with a 19-16 record. Rian Lindell kicked a game-winning field goal with time expiring to give the Bills a 24-23 win the last time these two teams faced each other, September 2008 in Buffalo.
