The Denver Broncos have released their list of inactive players for their 4:15 p.m. game against the Bengals, and it's a doozie. Five starters are out: RB Knowshon Moreno, WR Brandon Lloyd, CB Champ Bailey, DE Elvis Dumervil and LB D.J. Williams.
What's more, backup WR Demaryius Thomas and backup DT Marcus Thomas are also inactive. The Broncos weren't exactly firing on all cylinders in a 23-20 loss to the Raiders in week one, and that was with Lloyd, Moreno, Bailey and Dumervil starting.
Luckily for the Broncos, and I can't believe I'm about to type this, the Bengals don't appear to be nearly as good as the Raiders this year. Though they won their first game against the Browns, you could make an argument that Joe Haden lost that game after blowing his assignment against A.J. Green in the winning touchdown pass.
What really remains to be seen is just how long the Broncos will be without five starters. One game against the Bengals isn't a huge deal, but if this injury list persists, the Broncos can say hello to the Andrew Luck sweepstakes.
