In Week 17 last year, the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Oakland Raiders 31-10. In the playoff game, they lost to the Baltimore Ravens 31-7. In Week 1 this year, the Chiefs lost to the Buffalo Bills, 41-7.
Unfortunately for Chiefs fans, it's not getting better in Detroit. The Lions lead the Chiefs, 27-3, and it's not looking pretty for the Chiefs.
Stud RB Jamaal Charles went down with a bad-looking knee injury and hasn't returned. QB Matt Cassel has two interceptions. LT Brandon Albert went down shortly with a knee injury.
Nothing is working in Kansas City and they're en route to their fourth consecutive blowout. Chiefs' Todd Haley was believed to be on the hot seat entering this season and that's clearly the case through two and a half quarters in Detroit.
The Lions, meanwhile, look terrific as QB Matthew Stafford has hooked up with WR Calvin Johnson twice. Megatron has two touchdowns on just three catches.
The Lions look for real and the Chiefs do not. It's as simple as that.
