On Sunday afternoon at Candlestick Park, Miles Austin was absolutely fantastic. The Dallas Cowboys' star needed to step up in the absence of Dez Bryant, and he did just that with nine catches for 143 yards and a career high three touchdowns. Unfortunately, it appears as if he's suffered a pulled hamstring once again, according to ESPN NFL reporter Chris Mortensen.
The Cowboys have a big rivalry game against the 2-0 Washington Redskins in Week 3, then face off against a much improved Detroit Lions team in Week 4 before their bye week in Week 5. Austin's hamstring pull is bad enough that the team fears he could be out all the way through the bye week.
We'll keep an eye on Austin's status throughout the week, but at the moment, he certainly doesn't look like he's going to be healthy to face the Redskins. With Bryant, Tony Romo and Felix Jones also major question marks for next week, the Boys could be in huge trouble in Week 3.
