The Houston Texans may find themselves without running back Arian Foster this Sunday. Foster did not practice on Wednesday, and sounded less hopeful about his chances of playing than head coach Gary Kubiak.
This is what Foster told the Houston Chronicle yesterday about his hamstring and chances of playing:
I’m a competitor, and I want to play. I want to help this team win ballgames. This is one of those injuries … you can’t push through it. The more you push, the worse it gets. It’s just tough for a competitive person.
Not exactly the tone of man who anticipates suiting up this week. The Texans will also be without RB Derrick Ward who has a high ankle sprain. That leaves rushing duties in the hands of Ben Tate, looking for his third 100-yard rushing game of the season.
The Texans take on the Saints in New Orleans on Sunday.
