Michael Vick Injury: Eagles QB Reportedly On The Practice Field

Stay connected with SB Nation

Good news, Philadelphia Eagles fans: Michael Vick is back to practice. Several reports say Vick is on the practice field at the Eagles facility and he is wearing a helmet taking snaps with the first team. Nothing is confirmed but that's a step in the right direction for Vick to be playing this weekend against the New York Giants.

We'll see how the Eagles list him on the practice report Thursday afternoon. He was running through individual drills so you would think he would at least be a limited participant. They had him listed as a non-participant on Wednesday -- but he did participate in the walkthrough -- and by Friday they'll have to label him as probable, questionable, doubtful or out. He also has to pass a concussion test.

Vick's injury is a concussion he suffered last week in the loss to the Atlanta Falcons and his status for Week 3 has been a hot topic of conversation among NFL observers and fantasy football owners.

Obviously the Eagles chances of winning this week would plummet if Mike Kafka, and not Vick, got the start against the Giants, so this will be one of the key injuries to monitor. It's been reported that the Eagles believe he will play on Sunday.
