Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick was indeed back on the practice field Thursday afternoon but the Eagles aren't saying whether he'll be the starter. The indications are though that Vick will be starting for the team this weekend against the New York Giants.
For one, Vick has already been cleared by doctors to return to practice. An independent doctor must evaluate and clear players who received concussions which, as the Eagles announced, was done with Vick. He passed the tests.
Another sign he's starting is that he was lining up with the first team on Thursday, which is usually reserved for the starting quarterback.
The Eagles may not want to announce that Vick is starting on Sunday but what NFL teams say matters very little. What they do, however, means a lot more and Vick practicing and getting first team time is a strong indication that he's playing this weekend.
Fantasy football owners, breathe a sign of relief.
