NFL Picks Week 3: Giants Vs. Eagles

A division rivalry with plenty of bad blood that should make for a good game. Most experts take the Eagles over the Giants this week.

Eli Manning had a rough time against the St. Louis Rams on Monday night, but thanks to their NFC West-ness and the Other Manning making some key throws, he got the win. Things will not be that easy this week against a Philadelphia Eagles team making its home debut.

Philly's pricey and very good secondary has to contend with Hakeem Nicks and...Brandon Stokley and Michael Clayton. Mario Manningham's status is up in air. Plenty of bad blood here could make this more of a slug fest than some would anticipate. If the Giants are going to have a chance, they need to lean on their running back duo of Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs

Peter King reminds audiences of another backstory for this game, a game he sees the Eagles winning.

Cruel and unusual punishment: Steve Smith scores the winning touchdown in the fourth quarter, and the M*A*S*H-unit Giants can only wonder, "Why didn't we sign this guy back in July?"

The entire panel of experts over at ESPN and their two super computers all pick the Eagles. Mike Freeman is the lone holdout at CBS. Andrew Sharp picks the Eagles for SB Nation

WIth the Giants running backs working, this game could be a battle. Winning, however, should prove to be too tall an order for the Giants.
