Mario Manningham Injury Status: Out For Week 3, According To Giants

Stay connected with SB Nation

Mario Manningham is yet another New York Giants starter who will miss the team's Week 3 game versus the Philadelphia Eagles due to injury. The Giants announced that Manningham didn't board the team plane on Saturday, making him officially out due to the concussion he suffered against the St. Louis Rams last week on Monday Night Football.

Manningham has hauled in seven receptions for 105 yards this season, and though he's been held out of the end zone so far, he was expected to be an integral part of the Giants offense with fellow wide receiver Domenik Hixon already out for the year. Instead, it will likely be Victor Cruz who is targeted by Eli Manning when New York looks to move the ball through the air.

Other players already determined to miss the game against the Eagles include defensive stalwarts Prince Amukamara and Osi Umenyiora. The Eagles, of course, have Michael Vick listed as questionable on their injury report.
