The Arizona Cardinals were just a few plays away from getting off to a rather unlikely 2-0 start, but instead were forced to settle for a merely satisfying 1-1 beginning to their 2011 season. Now visiting a Seattle Seahawks team that is looking like it might be one of the worst in the league, the Cardinals have a good chance of feeling even better.
Kevin Kolb, around whom many questions swirled at the start of the year, is proving at least capable of being a decent No. 1 quarterback. Beanie Wells is coming off back-to-back 90-yard games. The big question remains whether or not that banged-up secondary can hold together. So far, they are allowing more than 340 passing yards per game, despite facing some rather unimpressive opponents.
Of all teams, the Seahawks seem least likely to be capable of exploiting that weakness. Tarvaris Jackson has not looked particularly strong in either start, failing to pass for 200 yards in both games. No receiver on the team has yet to eclipse 90 yards for the season. Possibly as a result, Marshawn Lynch has been limited to 44 rushing yards.
