Blaine Gabbert received a proper welcome to the NFL today by Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy. Leading his first NFL regular season drive, Gabbert was sacked on third-and-13 by Hardy. The play gave the Panthers a 2-0 lead.
Penalties and a poor field position put the rookie up against the wall. The rookie out of Missouri has completed one pass in the game so far.
