Michael Vick Injury: Broken Right Hand Sidelines Eagles QB

Stay connected with SB Nation

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is out of today’s game against the New York Giants with a broken hand. The injury is to Vick’s right hand, his non-throwing hand. He is doubtful to return to the game.

Just days after being cleared to return after suffering a concussion last week, Vick found himself getting hammered by the Giants defense today. In the third quarter he left the game, but did finish the drive. He went to the Eagles locker room for x-rays which revealed the broken hand.

Mike Kafka replaced Vick in the game, and threw an interception on his first throw in the fourth quarter. Vick ended his day with 176 yards passing on 16 completions in 23 attempts. He threw one interception and no touchdowns for the day. The Giants lead the Eagles 22-16 late in the fourth quarter.

Vick was knocked out of last week’s loss to the Falcons, an injury that resulted in a concussion.
