Ever heard of Torrey Smith? Well, if you're like many of us and have no idea who this player with zero career catches before Sunday is, you'll want to make sure to know his name. The Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver has caught three touchdowns in the first quarter, giving him 133 yards on three catches.
More impressively, all of them have displayed different kind of skills. His first touchdown, on his first career catch, was a 76-yarder in which he evaded some tacklers and streaked down the sideline. His next catch was an over-the-top catch for 41 yards. His third was one in which he battled the defender to grab an 18-yarder in the endzone.
Smith was the 58th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft after a solid but not necessarily spectacular college career at Maryland. He did break out in his senior year, catching 12 touchdowns and compiling 1,055 receiving yards.
