The 49ers may have the better record, but they are still 10-point underdogs to the Eagles for Sunday's game.
Apparently starting 2-1 doesn't get you the same respect it used to. Despite coming in with the better record of the two teams, the San Francisco 49ers are 10-point underdogs to the Philadelphia Eagles. Of course, there's some real logic in that.
While the 49ers have managed to put up a decent number of points (23.3 per game), they have also been very opportunistic. They have scored twice on kick returns and their defense has forced some key turnovers.
The Eagles, meanwhile, are still the same team that many picked to win the Super Bowl. Michael Vick is upset about how many hits he takes, but he's still helped lead the Eagles to more than 26 points a game and more than 400 yards of total offense.
