The Philadelphia Eagles announced nine roster cuts and two roster moves on Friday as they prepare to cut down to the 53-man roster. The Eagles cuts included Rashad Jeanty, Jamar Wall, Rod Harper, Chris Wilson, A.Q. Shipley, Cornelius Ingram, Stanley Havili, Dallas Reynolds, and Graig Cooper. The cuts aren't stunning, although it is a little surprising they quickly cut their last draft pick, Havili. Additionally, the Eagles had only recently signed Jamar Wall, so it's surprising to see him out there so quickly.
The Eagles made three roster moves in addition to the nine cuts. Offensive tackle Jose Acuna was placed on the Reserve/Left Squad list and Brandon Graham and Winston Justice will remain on the PUP list. This means Graham and Justice will not be available for the first six weeks of the season. Joselio Hanson and Jamaal Jackson are both potential trade options, so it will be interesting to see if that factors into the final roster decisions.
The nine cuts and three roster moves leave them at 68 players. The Eagles have until 6:00pm eastern Saturday to cut down to 53 players.
