The Tennessee Titans got a few difficult decisions out of the way on Friday, cutting 15 players to inch closer to a 53-man roster. Stefan Johnson was among the players sent on their way, as was safety Myron Rolle. Johnson suffered a horrific injury at USC in 2010 after the bench press bar he was using fell on his throat, and had fought back to earn a shot at the NFL.
Rolle is a Rhodes Scholar who opted not to enter the 2009 NFL Draft, instead heading to England to study at Oxford. The rest of the cuts are as follows.
T Pat McQuistan, LB Rennie Curran, DE Hall Davis, RB Herb Donaldson, TE Riar Geer, TE Cameron Graham, G Thomas Gray, DE Julian Hartsell, WR James Kirkendoll, CB Lequan Lewis, RB Kestahn Moore, WR Michael Preston, and RB Joe Tronz.
Tennessee isn't quite to the limit and will have to make a few more moves on Saturday ahead of the roster deadline.
