NFL Odds Week 1: Bengals Vs. Browns

The Browns opened as slight favorites against the Bengals, but the line has shifted considerably.

With Carson Palmer retiring and Chad Ochocinco leaving for the New England Patriots, things aren't looking great for the Cincinnati Bengals offense to start the season. Rookies Andy Dalton and A.J. Green could be the leaders of the team for the next decade, but rookie QB-WR tandems rarely hit the ground running and look like superstars from the start. Meanwhile, Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy is heading into his second season, while there are big expectations on popular running back Peyton Hillis.

Unsurprisingly, the betters are not liking the Bengals. The opening line on the game favored the Browns by three points, but that line has moved considerably. If, for some reason, you think that the Bengals aren't a disaster waiting to happen, some have them as 6 1/2 point underdogs. In most of the world, the Browns are now favored by seven points. It's a big shift from the opening line that indicates fans don't have much faith in all in the Bengals.
