While Charles Woodson did fire off an uppercut during Thursday night's matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers, it did not appear to be a shot to the groin. This is an important distinction: the former is simply dirty while the latter is different level of dirty. In fact, after viewing the play from different angles, it's clear what, exactly, Woodson was doing.

Notice the yellow circle. That's Woodson connecting with the belly of his foe, not the groin region. It's close, but certainly not below the belt.
Even still, firing off a punch is grounds for ejection and further discipline from the league. And Woodson surely will be hearing from the league when this game is reviewed. While games do get heated, there's no need for fire off punches.
