Jacksonville Jaguars Stave Off Week 1 Blackout

The Jacksonville Jaguars nearly joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in having their season opener blacked out. According to ESPN, the Jags have sold just enough tickets, meaning that their season opener against the Tennessee Titans, a pivotal game against a division rival no less, will be shown on local television.

The fact that both the Bucs and the Jags are struggling to sell tickets is somewhat shocking considering that neither team is exactly at rock bottom. The Jags were 8-5 last season and in contention for a playoff spot before dropping their last three straight during the regular season. The Bucs, behind a talented young offense, expect to be playoff contenders this year.
