The Kansas City Chiefs and quarterback Kyle Orton are looking to spoil the Denver Broncos playoff hopes.

The Kansas City Chiefs are out of playoff contention, but that doesn't mean they don't have anything left to play for. Quarterback Kyle Orton, who was the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos for much of the 2011 NFL season will start against his former team in the hopes of spoiling their playoff hopes. Orton however, is playing it cool and treating it like any other week. "It's just another week for me to come out and prove my preparation and play to my teammates," Orton said. The Chiefs won't be able to eliminate the Broncos from the playoffs, but they can make them rely on other teams to get them in.

Even if the Broncos lose to the Chiefs, they can still win the AFC West crown if the San Diego Chargers beat the Oakland Raiders Sunday afternoon. While most are caught up in the Kyle Orton Vs. Tim Tebow billing, the Broncos players are focused on making the playoffs. "I mean, I love Kyle, but I couldn't care less," offensive lineman Zane Beadles said. "It's the Broncos vs. the Chiefs. We've got to beat the Chiefs to get in the playoffs. And it doesn't matter who's on their team." Denver will be looking to avoid it's third loss in a row and going from prime position to making the playoffs to playing themselves out of the playoffs.
