The Oakland Raiders will be fighting for a playoff spot and they'll need some help, but first they'll have to beat the San Diego Chargers.

The San Diego Chargers can't make the playoffs this season but they can help spoil the playoffs for their division rival, the Oakland Raiders. "When you lose six in a row in this league, you're probably not going to the postseason, but we fought our way back in it," said quarterback Philip Rivers. "You're hanging your hat on running the table, and going to beat playoff teams on the road, it's tough." Rivers has struggled this season, throwing a career high 19 interceptions including one against the loss to the Raiders in the team's first match up. "I don't want the Raiders to go (to the playoffs)," said Pro Bowl safety Eric Weddle.

The Raiders are just worried about winning the game in front of them and letting the rest play out as it may. "I am not going to get caught up in all the different scenarios," head coach Hue Jackson said. "I know they're out there. I think I would be remiss as the leader of this football team if I just jumped over in that boat. I think the boat I have to jump in is getting this team to play as hard and well as it can play this weekend." It's possible the Raiders can get a big boost on offense with the return of Darren McFadden, quarterback Carson Palmer lit up the Chargers defense in the first match up for 299 yards and two touchdowns, without McFadden or really a rushing attack.
