The Detroit Lions put up another touchdown on the board against the Green Bay Packers backups thanks to a second quarter touchdown pass from Matt Stafford to, who else, Calvin Johnson. That was Johnson’s 16th touchdown of the season, which is actually way off his early season track when he was on pace to score a veritable boatload of touchdowns. Stafford hit Johnson on a 13-yard pass for the score.
Here is the video of Johnson’s touchdown.
Green Bay answered with a highlight worthy touchdown of their own on the next drive. Quarterback Matt Flynn hit running back Ryan Grant on a short screen pass. Grant took the ball 80 yards for a touchdown to make it a 17-16 lead for the Packers.
That was Grant’s first receiving touchdown of the season.
Johnson has three receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown in this game. Prior to today’s game, Johnson had 85 catches for 1,437 yards. It’s a career year for Megatron.
