The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers seem to find themselves in exciting games. So, it stands to reason that they are putting on quite a show on Sunday. The two teams keep exchanging touchdowns with the Saints currently leading 24-17 at halftime.
A pair of plays toward the end of the half have pretty well encapsulated the game. The first was from Jonathan Stewart, who scored from 29 yards out, working his way through a rather hole-filled defense. The Saints defense has already allowed more than 130 yards rushing in the half with Stewart picking up 68 of those on just six carries.
But the Saints came right back on the next position and took back the lead on Drew Brees' 43rd touchdown of the season and his second to Marques Colston this afternoon. Brees basically tossed the ball up from 42 yards and Colston fought off the defender to bring it in. Brees now has 249 yards passing and Colston has 129 yards receiving at the half.
