No Aaron Rodgers hasn’t limited Jordy Nelson. The Green Bay Packers’ wide receiver has three touchdowns and 156 yards receiving on eight catches against the Detroit Lions. Nelson scored his third touchdown on a beautiful 58-yard pass from Packers backup quarterback Matt Flynn in the third quarter.
Nelson’s highlight from a day filled with highlights for the fourth-year player out of Kansas State:
This is the fifth game of the season in which Nelson has topped the 100-yard mark. It’s the first time that he has scored three touchdown in a game. Those three touchdowns give Nelson a total of 15 for the season, one less than Calvin Johnson of the Lions who scored his 16th of the day in the second quarter. Nelson also has more than 1,200 receiving yards for the season.
Nelson’s touchdown is one of eight touchdowns scored by both teams in a game that looks more like a tennis match with a basketball score.
