If Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos are going to make the 2011 NFL playoffs with a win in Week 17, they will need to come back and beat the quarterback that they both replaced — in a manner of speaking. Kyle Orton has the Chiefs up 7-0 at halftime in Denver.
Orton hasn't done a ton, throwing for just 128 yards, but he's helped the Chiefs move the ball and avoided mistakes, and Dexter McCluster has done the rest. McCluster has 59 rushing yards and a touchdown, and three catches for 25 yards.
Tebow, on the other hand, has done even less than Orton, and has a costly fumble to his name, too. Tebow's completed just three of eight passes for 29 yards so far, and has run for just 19 yards on the day. Willis McGahee's 13 carries for 87 yards have been the bright spot of Denver's offense.
