Heading into Week 17, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens each had an 11-4 record. The outcome of Sunday’s game would shape which teams wins the AFC North and wraps up the second seed in the AFC. After two quarters of play, the Ravens lead the Cincinnati Bengals by a score of 17-3, while the Steelers went into the locker room down 3-6 against the Cleveland Browns.
If the Ravens beat the Bengals, they will claim the AFC North title as well as the second spot and a wildcard weekend bye in the playoffs. Pittsburgh needs to win their game and see Baltimore lose in order to claim the division title and second seed in the playoffs. The Ravens beat the Steelers twice this season, giving them an advantage in playoff seeding and the division race.
If the Bengals can beat the Ravens, they will earn the sixth seed in the playoffs. If they lose, they still have a shot, but would need Denver or Oakland to lose their games this week.
