NFL Playoff Schedule: AFC Wild Card Round Features Texans-Bengals, Broncos-Steelers

Tim Tebow, Ben Roethlisberger, Andy Dalton, and T.J. Yates will lead teams in the AFC Wild Card round of the 2011 NFL playoffs.

Jan 1, 2012 - The 2011 NFL playoffs are one week away, and the NFL playoff schedule is almost set. The AFC Wild Card round will feature one team making its playoff debut, one two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback taking on Tim Tebow, and two AFC North teams.

The No. 3 seed and AFC South champion Houston Texans will take on the No. 6 seed Cincinnati Bengals in one AFC Wild Card match-up. That game will take place at Reliant Stadium on Saturday, January 7 at 4:30 p.m. on NBC, and will be the first-ever playoff game for the Texans franchise. The Bengals will be playing their first playoff game since 2009.

In the other AFC Wild Card game, the AFC West champion and No. 4 seed Denver Broncos will play the defending AFC champion and No. 5 seed Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, January 8 at 4:30 p.m. on CBS. Denver's popular quarterback, Tebow, will be making his first playoff start in the Broncos' first playoff appearance since winning the AFC West in 2005. The Steelers, led by Ben Roethlisberger, will be making their eighth playoff appearance since 2001, and will be a Wild Card team and the No. 5 seed.
