The Indianapolis Colts have found their new GM.

ESPN reports that Colts owner Jim Irsay plans to hire Ryan Grigson, the Philadelphia Eagles director of player personnel, to the position of Colts general manager. The Colts fired VP Bill Polian and his son, GM Chris Polian, after the season ended.

Grigson also interviewed with the St. Louis Rams. He was in Indianapolis this week for a second interview and the Colts could make the move official as soon as Wednesday.

Grigson is a former player who spent time in the NFL and CFL. He started his personnel career in the CFL before moving to the Rams as a scout. He joined the Eagles in 2004.

Other candidates for the GM job reportedly included: New York Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross, Falcons director of player personnel Les Snead, Falcons director of college scouting David Caldwell, Cowboys director of scouting Tom Ciskowski, Monteal Alouettes GM Jim Popp and Colts director of player personnel Tom Telesco.
