The New York Giants are no strangers to knocking off the Goliaths of the NFL. They've done it in against the undefeated Denver Broncos during the 1998 season and the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl a few years ago. While New York wasn't able to send the Green Bay Packers to its lone loss of the regular season, they will look to make the Green Bay Packers a one game and out team in the 2012 NFL Playoffs. But don't tell that to the CBS panel picking the game.
Four of the five CBS experts picking this game have selected the Packers to defeat the Giants. Mike Freeman is the lone selector who believes the Giants can knock off the 15-1 Packers. The chorus, however, changes when the panelists need to pick based on the spread, which is 7.5 points in favor of the Packers. New York has a slight edge over Green Bay, 3-2, when picking against the spread.
